First and foremost, my job in providing services is to help create a safe, nonjudgemental environment where you feel comfortable discussing whatever is troubling you. For psychotherapy to be successful, it is important that you feel comfortable, connected, and part of a collaborative team. Extensive research has shown that this alliance with the psychologist is a key factor in an effective treatment outcome.
Dr. Brothers provides therapeutic services to a diversity of persons, ranging in age from late adolescence through older adulthood, for concerns including:
Services are provided over a HIPPA compliant, secure telemedicine site, doxy.me. This allows Dr. Brothers to provide services to patients anywhere within the state of Texas.
Dr. Brothers’ practice is primarily fee-for service. The only insurance plan she accepts is traditional Medicare. For all other insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage programs, she will provide invoices for you to submit to your insurance company.
Rate for psychotherapy is $200 per 50 minute session, payable at the time of service by cash, check, or credit card.
Psychological assessment rates vary depending on the referral question, with a general range from $400 to $600.
Consulting rates are negotiated based on the project, length of training, cost for materials, travel, etc.

Clinical assessment is offered to help other specialists plan effective health care for their patients. These assessments are generally requested by the treating medical specialist. They typically focus on the patient’s emotional readiness for the procedure, possible compliance issues, and possible concerns regarding the patient’s post-operative adjustment. Dr. Brothers provides assessments to answer a wide variety of psychological questions, with specific expertise in the following areas:
Dr. Brothers is available to share her psychological expertise by consulting with community groups, educators, program planners, and private practitioners. She enjoys providing community education on psychological topics, and helping with the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical services.
